Quintica becomes First South African ITIL® provider accredited by APMG
May, Johannesburg: Quintica, the South African based Service Management Training specialist, has become the first organization to be accredited by The APM Group (APMG) to deliver ITIL® training on the African continent, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
The company, which has offices around the globe, has a long history of working closely with the Service Management community and has welcomed the arrival of APMG as the official accreditor for The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) which owns ITIL.
Charles Osburn, CEO of Quintica has been instrumental in the drive towards APMG accreditation. "Quintica has made the decision to attain ITIL accreditation status via APMG. The choice was based on the fact that the owners of ITIL – the OGC – awarded APMG the responsibility of managing the certification program."
Richard Pharro, managing director, APMG, said: "We believe our appointment as OGC's official accreditor for ITIL will help improve guidelines and establish greater standardization for organizations wishing to adopt ITIL worldwide. As we rely on a network of experienced and high-quality Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs) to help achieve those goals we are delighted to announce Quintica as our first ATO based in South Africa."
Roger Purdie, Executive Manager responsible for Education within the Quintica Group adds:"Since their appointment by OGC, APMG has put in place procedures and checks that will ensure any person working towards APMG certification will be assured of a highly professional standard. Quintica is proud to become the first South African training company to be accredited by APMG to deliver ITIL Training."
