25 February 2008, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK ……. As OGC's official accreditor for ITIL The APM Group (APMG) has announced the public launch of the ITIL V3 Manager Bridge Qualification. The course and qualification are only intended for those holding a valid ITIL Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management based ITIL Versions 1 and 2.
The course and qualification have undergone a pilot testing phase. Richard Pharro, CEO, APMG said: "The purpose of the pilot was to test the examination questions and allow current accredited trainers to become certified to V3 Manager Bridge Level."
Consistent with all ITIL V3 Certifications, the new qualification will continue to be subject to moderation with candidates and trainers over the coming weeks, to gather additional feedback on the questions and to ensure the quality and integrity of the examination questions.
In some cases pilots will be conducted by the accredited training providers under standard course and examination conditions. In addition some sessions may be organized and run directly by the Licensed Examination Institutes. Detailed reviews by the examination panel will continue during this time.
The feedback and results from these examinations will be reviewed periodically as part of the continual improvement process.
Richard said, "The examination board is pleased to have reached the point whereby candidates can start taking the Mangers Bridge course and examination. We look forward to being able to certify the first candidates in the next few weeks."
