Role Summary
To act as a part of an impartial body to oversee APMG's certification activities, so as to provide confidence in the impartiality and integrity to all significantly concerned parties.
Responsibilities
- Act as part of a Board to provide independent and impartial advice on governance in relation to the Company's operations.
- Investigate any issues or concerns brought to the Board's attention.
- Pro-actively examine and scrutinise the APMG's present and future policies, markets and operations to ensure the impartiality of all involved in certification processes and the integrity of examinations and assessments.
- Available to attend Ethics Board meetings at least twice a year.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years experience in business, relating to at least one of the major groups concerned with APMG's certification activities, and with no conflict of interest.
Skills and Knowledge
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Understanding of the relevant standards (EN 45011, ISO 17024 and ISO 17021) and quality policy.
