Trust and honesty are paramount in a certification body and, to ensure that we work in accordance with our own standards, The APM Group Ltd has established an Ethics and Standards Board. The Board is led by an independent chairman with extensive experience in the public and private sectors, who brings an incisive intellect and clear moral compass to the Board's activities. The Board is free to investigate anything we do and to speak to anyone employed by APM Group, to ensure that we actually do and deliver what we say we will.
The Members of the Board are:
Alan Deboo (Chairman)
Clergyman and Canon of Salisbury Cathedral. Has extensive HR experience in the Broadcasting, Transport and Defence sectors.
Helen Muir
Professor Helen Muir is a Director of Cranfield Institute for Safety, Risk and Reliability. She is an applied psychologist who has spent the last two decades conducting research and postgraduate teaching into People and Safety Systems.
Helen Stone
A civil engineer with an interest in promoting diversity and equal opportunities. Experience in project management, including interface with utilities, financial services, telecommunications and property service sectors.
Tony Betts
Was head of the Best Practice Unit at the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) for 10 years where his responsibilities included overseeing the worldwide development, promotion and protection of ITIL and PRINCE.
Keith Corrie
Company Secretary of The APM Group. Extensive experience of corporate, programme and project management in a wide range of sectors in the UK and overseas.
Darren Dalcher
Professor of Software Project Management at Middlesex University and Director of the National Centre for Project Management. Extensive practical and research experience in project management and software development.
Roger Flanagan
Professor of Construction Management at the University of Reading, President of the Chartered Institute of Building. Career in the construction sector, Director of Skanska AB and the Halcrow Group.
The Ethics and Standards Board is responsible for ensuring that The APM Group adheres to good governance standards and works ethically, representing the interests of all our stakeholders.
